Private Lessons that offer your dog(s) Behavior Counseling &
Positive Obedience Training.
Dolittle's offers private, in-home behavior counseling. Your
dog receive personalized training or a behavior modification
plan tailored to his or her particular situation/condition.
How
a Consultation may flow. Every situation is different:
I will come to your home for an initial behavior consultation.
Although you will provide me with an extensive history of your
dog(s), via a History Form you complete before the house call,
the initial consultation will last an average of 1 to 2.5 hrs.,
and will be extremely productive. After a day or two, you will
receive a report with our behavioral diagnosis and how we should
proceed. As our sessions begin, you will get informative literature
and be given constructive ideas & recommendations. I will
show you how you can use learning principles to change your
pet's behavior via "behavior modification." I may
recommend modifications to the pet's housing and environment
if that will help. I may also make suggestions in changing or
modifying your "mannerisms" or approaches, which will
ultimately bring you and your dog into a synchronous state.
In the toughest of cases, I might recommend medication when
indicated to speed up the learning processes and hasten the
resolution of the problem behaviors. I do not look to medication
as a solution or long term remedy, but simply as a means to
'break through" the most intense cases and offer the dog
to receive the modification and training.
