Laura
was very good at showing us what needed to be done
and then having us do the training with her giving
us instructions from the sidelines. It was very
effective because by the time she left you knew
exactly what to do and how to do it.
We incorporated everything that Laura showed us
and there were immediate results. The dogs listened
to the commands and were much calmer and cooperative
than before. I was actually able to take both dogs,
and both of my young children on walks after only
a few sessions. My older dog would even walk off
the leash at my side.
The results of the training were instant, which
helped you take the few minutes a day to do what
was necessary to keep it that way. Ignoring the
dog or turning your back on them when they were
being hyper or sniffing and using the gentle leader.
It is what made an incredible difference in both
of our dogs.
Laura was excellent. She really learned about each
individual dog and then found whatever tools would
work for their needs. She had a lot of great tips

The training Buddy received was much more loving,
gentle and in depth than what I had expected. I
had always heard that dog trainers used tough, punishment-based
methods for training. With Laura, Buddy had the
loving training, reward based, no punishment training.
Positive reinforcement all the way, and he thrived
on it.
Laura was very meticulous and thorough and gave
Buddy all the time he needed to achieve the desired
results. Laura worked with me to train Buddy and
taught me what to do so I could continue to work
on Buddy's training all the time. She also was very
generous with pamphlets, brochures and written materials
with precise instruction in training the dog. Laura
taught ME that a dog, like a small child, needs
an authoritative owner to feel protected and secure.
Without that strong figure, they feel lost and unsure
of themselves. The dog looks to its owner for guidance.
I still use these principles today and I have a
much calmer dog that knows his owner is " the
alpha dog", but he also knows he is loved very
much.
I learned why dogs do the things they do and what
their behavior and body language really means. I
also learned to take charge and give the dog the
guidance he needs. After only 1 session, Laura had
Buddy obeying at least 3 different commands. She
is very fast in her training and the Dog loves her
very much. He was always so excited to see her when
it was training time and would strut around like
a show dog following the commands she gave him.
I would recommend Laura to anyone. Her training
was very individualized to the dog and the owner's
lifestyle as well. My dog was such a biter and so
aggressive, even his vet suggested to "put
him down". I refused to euthanize the dog and
called Laura instead. Now he is a gentle dog, very
loving and playful. He hasn't even growled at anyone,
much less attempting to bite anyone, in at least
6 months. She saved the dog's life as well as my
sanity. I can promise you satisfaction if your dog
is trained with Laura. |

Fearing that the training Buster and Blackie needed
would be painful, rough or fear based, Laura and
her positive methods put those fears to rest immediately.
Sitting down at the beginning of the first session
and going over potential issues was very helpful.
It made me think of things I would not have otherwise
thought to mention.
Starting with the "doggie push-ups" was
great. The success they had with them gave Buster,
Blackie and me the confidence to practice during
the week and make real progress in a very fun way.
They still enjoy them and still do them in unison.
The instruction and direction was practical and
made the practicing fun and useful. It was really
great having Laura watch what I was doing and making
suggestions to improve my behavior. For example,
reminding me not to bend down to give them their
rewards for "down" was very helpful; as
was the getting them to "sit" for their
treat after "staying."
My confidence in walking them is now good and I
believe they now know that I am in charge (in a
fun way) when we go for walks. Learning to take
them together for walks by myself was one of my
real goals. Also, getting them to "sit-stay"
when someone comes to the door, which we still work
on every day, was a goal I hadn't even thought of
until Laura suggested it.
I also checked with Buster and Blackie and they
thought the training was perfect. :) The special
harnesses you provided are exceptional. Also, the
"doggie seatbelts" Laura recommended have
totally solved the "climb over Mom" car
exits.
I have recommended you to our Vet and dropped off
brochures and cards. We also showed everyone at
the Vet's (we call it Dog Camp) Buster's and Blackie's
graduation certificates.
Buster, Blackie and I would wholeheartedly recommend
Dolittle's to everyone and every age dog-as you
proved even middle-aged dogs (and Dog Moms) can
learn new tricks.

After Laura taught us proper technique and methods
for our new puppy, Spencer knows now that we are
the bosses. For example, our favorite tips were
not letting let him in right while he is barking,
or not rewarding bad behavior, etc.
Laura continued to enforce hand signals along with
verbal instruction and positive motivation. Food
and/or praise is a much more powerful motivator
than pain or fear. The use of sounds such as clickers
or whistles to further enforce more difficult training
was very helpful.
I would not hesitate to recommend Laura to anyone
else looking for a dog or puppy trainer. We are
extremely happy with how Spencer has turned out,
thanks to all her help. He is a perfect little gentleman. |

We were looking for a positive way to help our
rescued dog,
Buckley,
with territorial issues. Laura gave us the tools
we needed to put Buckley at ease and teach him how
to interact with new people and other dogs. At the
end of each session, Laura made sure we knew how

My two dogs, Bailey
& Bassco, were very agressive and always
fighting in the house.
Laura personalized all training and instruction
to my dogs' specific problems and focused on the
behavioral problems we were experiencing, working
very closely with my dogs and I, all in my own
home, which
was wonderful.
She demonstrated all needed techniques and instructions
and how to work with the dogs to achieve the desired
results myself. The leadership principles were of
key importance for my household. It was imperative
for me to take back the position of leader in my
home. My female dog had assumed the role of leader
and needed to be corrected.
Laura's excellent training and instruction allowed
me to learn to see warning signs myself and how
to correct the aggressive behavior. After many other
trainers, behaviorists and vet's told me that I
would need to get rid of one of my dogs because
there was no hope to stop their fighting, Laura
was willing to take on the challenge and work with
our family to try and avoid getting rid of "one
of my children." I was devastated with the
thought of having to get rid of one of my dogs.
Laura's positive attitude and willingness to try
to keep us together was a welcome relief. With Laura's
help I was able to keep all of my dogs and my "family"
together, and all with 100% positive training!
We still have occasional behavior issues, but with
the training I received from Laura, I am able to
address the problem and work with the dogs to overcome
the issue. I can't say enough about Laura's approach
and willingness to help.
